CAD Applications
The Archon Apps development team is also the developer for the ARRIS CAD System. Originally Developed in 1979 as "SigmaGraphics by Sigma Design, Ltd.", ARRIS was the first micro-processor based CAD System. ARRIS is still used by Architects who prefer a very powerful 2D and 3D CAD system.
In the 1990s the development team started developing stand-alone applications, which did not require an underlying CAD system (such as ARRIS or AutoCAD). These add-on applications included Giza, for Office Furniture layout, and other landscaping and home-building applications sold by Planix (a division of Softdesk), and Eagle Point.
