3D Content Attributes and Reports

RpReports is designed for a specific application where components and attributes are customized for a single usage - for instance, designing a boat dock from components, laying out furniture in a room, etc.

We have some clients who create more general 3D content - for example, refrigerators, faucets, doors, etc. and want to have same common attributes - Description, Manufacturer, Part Number, Notes, Price - for these components and let the users of their 3D models create reports.

We have set up a special RpReports feature for attributes which are distributed from the 3D Warehouse or from your own web site. In this case, you store the attributes directly inside of the .SKP files which are used as components. Clients download and use the .SKP components and create reports.

Features

This special content has 3 main features:

  1. You (or your 3D content clients) pay a fee for each symbol. This fee varies between $2.00 per symbol and $25.00 per symbol depending on the number of symbols you wish to create.
  2. The users of the symbols can place them and create a simple report (Quantity, Component Name or Description, Manufacturer, Part Number, Notes, Price and Extended Price) using a free add-on ( SpaceDesign )
  3. If client want reports on additional attributes, or more customized reports, they will have to purchase a copy of RpReports Client. (Note: the "Notes" field can contain long descriptions of the component. However, if you want to include additional attributes - such as Power Consumption, Area or Volume, then the client will have to use the RpReports Client add-on rather than the free SpaceDesign add-on"

Usage

  1. The 3D Content Creator will store attributes directly in the .SKP 3D models.
  2. The user of these models can create a simple report with the free add-on: SpaceDesign
  3. If the user wants to edit attribute values, use additional attributes, or create custom reports, the user can purchase the RpReports Client software.
