2. Richard Woodward - was born on 20 Jan 1585 in Ipswichm Suffolk, England. He is the son of William Woodward.
Richard married Rose Stewart. Rose was born about 1583. She died on 6 Oct 1662 .

Richard - emigrated in 1634 to Boston, MA. on the ship "Elizabeth" with his wife and family. In 1642, he had a homestall of 12 acres, and was granted an additional 9 acres in Watertown, Middlesex County, MA. His estate administered by his sons, George and John.

3. George Woodward - was born in 1619 in England and died on 31 May 1676 . He was the son of Richard Woodward and Rose Stewart.
George married Mary Gibson about 1640. Mary was born about 1625 in England. She died before 1656 .

George - was possibly also known as Samuel. He was found delinquent for an unlawful entry upon some of the town's ground and "annoying the highway with stinking fish to the forfeitsure of £3 4s 8d" on 12 Jun 1637 at Boston, Suffolk County, MA. In 1644, he had a homestall of 10 acres, on the east side of Lexington St., from Orchard to Main St., Watertown, Middlesex County, MA which was sold or given to him by his father. This was George's permanent residence, and was occupied by his widow and family for many years after his death.

i.  Sarah Woodward was born on 3 Feb 1642/1643 in Watertown, MA and died on 15 Sep 1707 in Stow, MA .
Sarah married Stephen Gates. Stephen was born in 1640 in Hingham, MA. He was the son of Stephen Gates Sr. and Ann Veare. He died in 1706 in Acton, MA .

ii.  Daniel Woodward was born on 11 Jun 1653 in Watertown, MA and died on 31 Jul 1713 . See #4. below.

4. Daniel Woodward - was born on 11 Jun 1653 in Watertown, MA and died on 31 Jul 1713 . He was the son of George Woodward and Mary Gibson.
Daniel married Elizabeth Dana on 14 Jan 1679 in Melford, MA. Elizabeth was born on 20 Feb 1661/1662 in Cambridge, MA.

Daniel - was impressed for King Philip's War Nov. 1675, being then 22 yrs. of age. Savage says that his father, George Woodward, came from Ipswich, County of Suffolk, England; res. Medford, 1679-95, Cambridge, Woburn, 1691, and Charlestown. Innkeeper at Medford. (Source: Dana Family in America). Daniel's sister is Sarah Woodward who married Stephen Gates which provides a second connection to the Woodward family.

Daniel married Thankful Gates. Thankful was born on 7 Aug 1687 in Stow, MA. She is the daughter of Stephen Gates and Jemima Benjamin.

Sarah married Thomas Clark on 17 Dec 1735. Thomas was born on 16 May 1708 in Preston, CT. He is the son of Thomas Clark and Elizabeth Leonard.
