John married Isabel. Isabel was born in 1500. She died on 4 May 1608 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England . Maj. William Whiting - was born in 1605 in Boxford, Sussex, England and died on 24 Jul 1647 .
He was the son of John Whiting.
Maj. William married Susanna Wiggin in 1630. Susanna was born about 1600. She died on 8 Jul 1673 . (Sources: - 2) Maj. William - was an original proprietor of Hartford; his home–lot in 1639 was on the east side of the street now Governor St. In 1633 “the Bristol men had sold their interest in Piscataqua to the Lords Say and Brooke, George Wyllys, and William Whiting, who continued Thomas Wiggin their agent.” Mr. Whiting retained his interest in Piscataqua until his death, and was one of the most efficient promoters of the trade and commerce of Hartford. He was also engaged in a patent for lands at Swampscott with Lords Say and Brook. He was one of the Committee who for the first time sat with the Court of Magistrates in 1637; freeman, Feb., 1640; Treasurer of the Colony from 1641 until 1647; chosen magistrate 1642, and continued in office until his death in 1647. In 1638 he was allowed to trade with the Indians; and he was appointed with Major Mason and others to erect fortifications in 1642, and the same year he was appointed with Mason to collect tribute of the Indians on Long Island and on the Main. He was a merchant of wealth, and had dealings with Virginia and Piscataqua; had a trading–house at the Delaware River, and also at Westfield.

He was the son of Maj. William Whiting and Susanna Wiggin.
Rev John married Sybil Collins in 1654. Sybil was born Nov 1637 in Cambridge,Middlesex,MA. She died on 4 Jun 1672 . Sybil - mentioned in Pioneers of Mass by Pope page 112-113 (Sources: - 4) Rev John - From Eells Family by Starr John Whiting was preacher in Salem and same source said he had 2nd wife Phebe Gregson. Was a graduate of Harvard College in 1653 ; came to Hartford in 1660 as colleague of Rev. Samuel Stone , pastor of the first church; withdrew with his followers, February 12, 1672 , and formed the second church; (Sources: - 4 - 2)

Joeph Whiting - was born on 2 Oct 1640 in Hartford, Ct. and died on 8 Oct 1717 in Hartford, Ct. .
He was the son of Maj. William Whiting and Susanna Wiggin.
Joeph married Anne Allyn. Anne was born on 18 Aug 1652 in Hartford, Ct.. She was the daughter of Col. John Allyn and Anna Smith. She died on 3 Mar 1735 in New Haven, Ct. . Then Joeph married Mary Pynchon on 5 Oct 1669. Joeph - was a merchant, first of Westfield, Massachusetts , later of Hartford , whither he returned about the time of King Philip 's war. He was treasurer of th colony of Connecticut from 1678 until his death, a period of thirty-nine years. His son John succeeded him in this office and held it for thirty-two years. Col. John Whiting - was born on 15 Dec 1693 in Hartford, Ct. and died on 12 Feb 1766 in Hartford, Ct. .
He was the son of Joeph Whiting and Anne Allyn.
Col. John married Jerusha Lord. Jerusha was born on 25 Feb 1699 in Hartford, Ct.. She was the daughter of Richard Lord III and Abigail Warren. She died on 21 Oct 1776 in Windsor, Hartford, Ct. . Col. John - succeeded his father in 1717 as treasurer of the colony, holding the office for thirty-two years. He was a merchant in Hartford and a man of wealth and standing. He commanded a regiment in the French and Indian wars. 1.) According to Cutter p.1665 " he was a man of wealth and standing, andthat Col. John Whiting commanded a regiment in the French and Indian Wars(1754-1760)." Also in "The Journal of Constantine Hardy, in the CrownPoint Expedition of 1759" there is mention of Col. Whiting's Regiment. 2.) Re: American Genealogical Lending Library, Surname Collection (#SW 16- 14, v112 - 49) (pp.110-111) Col. John Whiting married Jerusha Lord,daughter of Richard Lord of Hartford. She was born February 25 1699, anddied October 21, 1776 at Windsor, Conn. Col. John Whiting succeeded hisfather in 1717 as Treasurer of the Colony of Connecticut, retaining theoffice thirty-two years. He was a merchant in Hartford and a man ofproperty. Captain of the Troop of Horse in Hartford County, May 1730.Colonel of the First Regiment October 1741. Member of the Council of War1745. Col. Whiting died February 12, 1766. William Whiting - was born on 17 Dec 1758 in West Hartford,Hartford,Conn and died on 22 Mar 1849 and was buried in Warsaw Village Pioneer Cemetery .
He was the son of William Whiting and Mary Wadsworth.
William married Abigail Flowers on 20 Sep 1782 in West Hartford-New Haven Second Church. Abigail was born on 19 Dec 1758. She died on 25 Aug 1832 and was buried in Warsaw Village Pioneer Cemetery . Abigail - "Farewell, dear partner of my breast. To call thee home God thought best. Fight on, you will gain the happy shore, Where parting hands are known no more." William - Soldier of the Revolution In a pension request, William Whiting stated he was living in a house owned by Silas C. Fargo "which in stormy weather does not protect our gray hairs from the wind and rain." Mr. Whiting appears to have been at or near destitution. The Warsaw vital records show William as being a carpenter who died of old age.
