John Rudolph Vonachen - was born on 11 Dec 1892 and died on 2 Apr 1969 . He was the son of Rudolph Vonachen and Amelia Reuter. John married Isabelle C. Schulte on 2 Aug 1913. Isabelle was born on 9 Dec 1892. She was the daughter of John J Schulte. She died on 24 Sep 1992 in Peoria, Illinois . Isabelle - Mrs. Vonachen   Mrs. Isabelle C. Vonachen, 79, of 3400 N. Knowville died at 5 p.m. yesterday at Proctor Hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 20.   Services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Wilton Mortuary and at 10 in St. Philomena's Catholic Church with Msgr. John Whelan officiating.   There will be no visitation but the Rosary will be recited at 8 tonight. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.   Born Dec 9, 1892 in St. Louis, Mo., she was a duaghter of John J. and Caroline Morman Schulte. She married Dr. John R. Vonachen Aug. 2, 1913 in St. Louis. He died here April 2, 1969. She was a member of St. Philomen's Catholic Church.   Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. molly Burgett and Mrs. Betty Hanson, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Carol Falls of River Forest; one son J. Rober Vonachen of Peoria; two sisters, Miss Edna Schulte and Mrs. Maury Eskeles, both of St. Louis; two brothers Braymon and Carl Schulte, both of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.   Three brothers and one sister preceeded her in death. Robert Vonachen is the son of the late Dr. John and Isabel Schulte Vonachen; he married Helen Jean Brown on February 4, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri; and   WHEREAS, Mr. Vonachen attended Washington University in 10 St. Louis; and   WHEREAS, Working in the insurance, paper distribution, and sanitary supply industries, Mr. Vonachen established Vonachen Industrial Supplies in 1947, retiring in 1982; he was a member of the International Sanitary Supply Association, where he received the industry's "Distinguished Service Award"; and   WHEREAS, Mr. Vonachen was a member of the Rotary Club of Peoria and Standardized Sanitation Systems; and WHEREAS, The passing of J. Robert Vonachen will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Helen Jean; his sons, Jay (wife, Betty) and Rudy (wife, Carol); his daughters, Susan (husband, William) Davidson, Cassie (husband, Michael) Schmidt, and Amy (husband, Chuck) Poparad; his sister, Molly McKown; his 13 grandchildren; and his 14 great-grandchildren;   therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with all who knew him, the death of J. Robert Vonachen of Peoria, Illinois; and be it further   RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of J. Robert Vonachen with our sincere condolences. As the outcome of World War II became clear, Dr. Harold Vonachen, the medical director of Caterpillar Tractor, knew that Caterpillar was going to need to bring disabled veterans back into its workforce if CAT was to meet post war production demand.   Dr. Vonachen, spearheaded the "Peoria Plan for Rehabilitation" a comprehensive, community-based model for physical, emotional and vocational rehabilitation. When the concept for IPMR was formulated in the late 1940's, Dr. Vonachen was a member of the IPMR Board of Directors. He brought the concepts of vocational rehab to the forefront and made workplace training a key component of IPMR when it formally incorporated in 1950.   Over the decades, IPMR vocational staff worked with polio patients, trauma victims and school-age children with impairments, to optimize their abilities in the work place. Mary - Obituary Mrs. Mary Ann Vonachen Farrell - 12/3/2000   BURLINGTON — Mrs. Mary Ann Vonachen Farrell, 73, of 2512 Hickory Ave., died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at The Hospice Home. A native of Peoria, Ill., she was the wife of Mr. Thomas E. Farrell, who survives, and the daughter of Dr. Harold Vonachen and Mrs. Bernice Verner Vonachen, both deceased. She operated a gift shop called The Yellow Brick Road. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and was a contributor to the renovations of Hillcrest School Building in prleparation for a new Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. She was a graduate of St. Theresa College in Winona, Minn., and was a sponsor of the Burlington Indians baseball team.   Survivors other than her husband of the home, include two sons, Mr. Tim Farrell of Burlington and Mr. David Farrell of Chapel Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Marta Templin of Peoria, and Mrs. Susie Dawson of Decatur, Ill.; two brothers, Mr. Harold “Pete” Vonachen of Peoria and Mr. Tommy Vonachen of Delevan, Ill.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Miss Annie Farrell; a brother, Mr. Jack Vonachen; and one sister, Mrs. Barbara “Bobbie” Hecht.   The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Briant Cullinane, O.F.M. conv. pastor. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery at Elon College. The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 tonight, followed by a Catholic Prayer service at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
