Obituary:

"The Late Jane Vermilyea. Passed away peacefully in Rochester yesterday afternoon. Today we record the death of Jane A. Gunsolus, relict of the late W.H. Vermilyea and mother of A.G. Vermilyea of the firm of Clerk & Vermilyea, grocers, Bridge St. W. Velleville, Ontario. The death occurred at Rochester, New York yesterday at 2 p.m. Deceased had been ailing for some months and her death was no surprise to those immediately connected with her. Deceased was the daughter of the late C. Gunsolus, Twonship of Thurlow, where subject of this obituary was born. She was married to the late W. H. Vermilyea nearly fifty years ago and resided in Sidney until 1873 when the family removed to this city (Belleville) where they resided until about eight years ago, when W.H. Vermilyea removed to Rochester, NY and engaged in the corset business. Deceased was universally esteemed for her kind and generous disposition. She was connected with the Methodist church all her life. She leaves two sons, A.G. of this city, and Solomon of Rochester, NY, to mourn a true friend and a loving mother. The remains will be brought to the city tonight and be interred tomorrow afternoon."
