He was the son of Thomas Ferguson Smith and Martha Taylor. Robert married Margaret Ann Hart on 16 Nov 1848 in Peoria Co., Ill. Margaret was born on 5 Mar 1829 in Peoria Co., Ill. She was the daughter of Amaziah Hart and Louise Gooding. She died on 4 Feb 1924 . Ira - occupation: Secretary Kansas Power + Lt - ii.  Robert Stewart iii.  Warren Stewart iv.  Ensley Stewart Ensley - Had a daughter named Malinda Smith: email August 2005   Dear Allbert,   I just read the family history for Mary Melinda Stewart.
