Margaretha was born on 19 Dec 1802 in Strabiech,Germany. She is the daughter of Georgius Motschenbacher and Dorothea Grohin. Franz Reuter - was born on 13 Nov 1838 in Strassgiech Bavaria and died on 1 Dec 1892 in Peoria, Ill and was buried in Springdale Cmty . He was the son of Joannes Reuther and Margaretha Motschenbacher. Franz married Margareta Zettelmaier in 1862. Margareta was born on 9 Jun 1843 in Schezlitz, Bavaria. She was the daughter of Georg Karl Zettelmaier and Margareta Fortsch. She died in 1880 in Peoria, Ill and was buried in St. Joseph's Cmty. . Margareta - obtained passport, dated Bayreuth, 1er Stadt Germany, on April 9, 1862. Came from Shezlitz, Baveria and joined the Reuter family in Peoria and married Franz Reuter.   Came over on the ship "Atlantic", arrived Jun 10, 1862, listed as: Zittmeier, Margarethe - 19 F NN Bavaria, (no town listed) Franz - occupation: Soldier Bavarian Army - Believed all three sons left for the US during a political controversy, evidently when Germany gained control of Bavaria around 1855. Came to Ill. by invitation of the Schmidt family who had been neighbors in Strasstich, Baveria..   Franz arrived in America on the Elizabeth Demson, sailing from Antwerp to New York on Dec 17, 1856. (listed as: Reuter, Franz - 22 M Farmer - no town listed.   Frank and John Reuter were among the original 6 members of the Brother Grove of the U. A. O. D. in Peoria, Ill in 1867   There is a Frank Reuter in Peoria in 1890-92: Frank Reuter - carpenter - boards 401 Smith - Peoria IL 1891, 1892, buthe was born about 1852. Norwood was born on 8 Sep 1871 in Peoria, Ill.. He was the son of Fielding Hart and Margaret Louisa Handasyde. He died on 10 Apr 1936 in Chicago, Ill. and was buried in Parkview Cmty - Peoria, Ill. . Magdalena - joined the First Congregational Church in Peoria, Ill. in 1885. Mrs. Hart Rites Will Be Monday   Last services for Mrs. Lenna R. Hart, 62 years old, will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Wilton Mortuary chapel.   Dr. B.G. Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary tomorrow afternoon and night. Mrs. Hart was the widow of Norwood F. Hart. She had been a lifelong resident of Peoria.   Mrs. Hart died yesterday at her home. She was born in Peoria February 14, 1871, the daughter of Frank and Magdalene Reuter, and was married here to Mr. Hart January 3, 1892. He died unexpectedly in Chicago April 10th of this year. Mrs. Hart was a member of the I. W. DonMeyer chapter No. 778, Order of the Eastern Star, and of Fern Leaf Camp, Royal Neighbors of America.   Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Claude K. Drake, Homewood, Ill; two sons Harold H. Hart , Peoria and Albert T. Hart, Chicago; one brother, Jacob G. John Reuter - was born on 29 Oct 1832 in Strasstich, Bavaria and died on 17 Jun 1899 . He was the son of Joannes Reuther and Margaretha Motschenbacher. John married Marcella R. Schmidt on 4 Sep 1856 in Peoria, Ill.. Marcella was born on 30 May 1838 in Strabiech,Germany. She died on 10 Jan 1930 in Peoria, Ill . Marcella - name is Mazelle on marriage records, Amelia in 1880 Census. John - occupation: Barber - arrived Ellis Island, 29 Oct 1852. There was a lot of unrest in Baveria because Germany was trying to take over control of Baveria. Had sailed from Bremen Germany. Settled first in New York state and then moed to Peoria in 1840. Had a barber shop next to his home in Peoria. He was an avid reader, interested in Law.   John was a barber by trade. Listed in 1884 Peoria City Directory as: Reuter, John, barber, 106 Knowville rd. r. 110 N. Monroe. George - Immigrated to US on the "New Orleans" from Bremen to New York arriving 6/2/1857 with his destination marked as Chicago, Illinois Stayed in Chicago to live while his brothers stayed in Peoria. Jacob Georg Reuter - was born on 28 Jun 1864 and died Aug 1943 . He was the son of Franz Reuter and Margareta Zettelmaier. Jacob married Nettianne Johnson on 9 Oct 1902. Nettianne was born on 17 Aug 1868. She died Aug 1942 . Jacob - is listed in the 1890 Peoria Directory as -Jacob G. Reuter- J. G. Reuter & Company - 1114 N. Monroe and again as: Jacob G. Reuter + James P. Yates - Reuter J. G. & Company - produce commission - 211 S. Washington Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Anita Reuter was born on 4 Sep 1905. See #12. below.

Frederick Reuter - was born on 1 Apr 1868 and died on 15 Oct 1934 . He was the son of Franz Reuter and Margareta Zettelmaier. Frederick married Rachel Ann Dornberger on 28 Feb 1901. Rachel was born on 19 Feb 1878. She died on 15 Mar 1962 . Rachel - Mrs. Rachel Reuter   Mrs. Rachel Reuter, 84, of 3241 Shoff Circle, died at 12:15 A. M. Thursday at Bel-Wood Nursing Home where she had been a patient for five days. She had lived at the Shoff Circle address for five years.   Born Feb 19th, 1878, in Limestone Township, she was the daghter of Andrew Frank and Fredalena Stoll Dornberger, and married Fred reuter on February 28, 1901 in Peoria. He died here Oct. 15, 1934.   Surviving are one brother Frank Dornberger of Peoria; three daughters: Mrs. Dorthy Marx, Mrs. Freda Sathoff and Mrs. Lena Hollis, all of Peoria; two sons; Fred Reuter of Creve Coeur and Albert Reuter of Bartonville; eleven grandchildren and ten great grand-children. One son, Frank and four half sisters, two half brothers and one sister preceeded her in death.   Funeral services were held at one P.M. Saturday at the Stone Nortuary with the ev Harry Timms offficiating. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery. Elizabeth Emma Reuter - was born on 17 Sep 1867 in Peoria, Ill and died in 1944 in Peoria, Ill . She was the daughter of John Reuter and Marcella R. Schmidt. Elizabeth married John Kneer on 16 Jun 1891. John was born on 27 Jan 1869 in Peoria, Ill. He died in 1918 in Peoria, Ill . John - was a Pharmacist. Children: i.  Edwin John Kneer was born on 7 Jul 1894 and died on 15 Dec 1975 . See #18. below. ii.  Marie Cecilia Kneer was born on 1 Jun 1898 in Peoria, Ill and died on 22 Nov 1983 in Peoria, Ill . Nancy Reuter - was born on 27 Jun 1873 and died on 27 Oct 1948 . She was the daughter of John Reuter and Marcella R. Schmidt. Nancy married Adolph Foerter on 12 Jan 1908. Adolph was born on 9 Apr 1875. He died on 17 Dec 1946 . Children: i.  Mary Doris Foerter was born on 13 Apr 1910. See #20. below. ii.  Alan Charles Foerter was born on 8 Nov 1911. See #21. below. iii.  Paul Foerter was born on 7 Mar 1909.

Marian Reuter - was born on 23 Nov 1875 in Peoria, Ill and died on 15 Apr 1953 in Baltimore, Md. . She was the daughter of John Reuter and Marcella R. Schmidt. Marian married Harry Henry Juelg. Harry was born on 30 Jun 1875 in Peoria, Ill. He died on 21 Mar 1953 in Baltimore, Md. . Children: i.  Charles Juelg was born in 1899 and died in 1899 . ii.  Dorothy Marcella Juelg was born on 29 Apr 1900. Dorothy - married Emmet Gary. iii.  Carl Walter Juelg was born on 10 Aug 1904. iv.  John Henry Juelg was born on 21 May 1907. v.  Nancy Lee Juelg was born on 27 May 1918. Anita Reuter - was born on 4 Sep 1905. She is the daughter of Jacob Georg Reuter and Nettianne Johnson. Anita married J. Harold McDuff on 10 Jun 1931. J. was born on 11 Sep 1905. He died on 21 Jan 1982 . Children: i.  Judith Ann McDuff was born on 14 Jul 1932. Judith married William Taylor on 6 Jan 1951. William was born on 7 Jan 1929. ii.  Stephen Allan McDuff was born on 8 May 1938. Stephen - married May 5, 1958. iii.  Randall Craig McDuff was born on 29 Dec 1946.

Frieda Margaret Reuter - was born on 30 Jan 1902 and died in 1990 . She was the daughter of Frederick Reuter and Rachel Ann Dornberger. Frieda married Henry Edgebert Sathoff on 27 Feb 1922. Henry was born on 3 Sep 1900. He died on 13 Nov 1974 . Children: i.  Harold Sathoff was born on 10 Aug 1923. Harold married Rosalie Miller in 1950. Rosalie was born on 7 Oct 1925. ii.  Norma Jean Sathoff was born on 14 Dec 1927. Norma - married Ray Johnson Oct 2, 1965. iii.  Ruth Ann Sathoff was born on 19 Nov 1937. Ruth - married James Farley Jun 14, 1959. iv.  Raymond Lee Sathoff was born on 7 Dec 1931.

Albert Norwood Reuter - was born on 27 Jun 1906 and died Oct 1975 in Peoria, Ill . He was the son of Frederick Reuter and Rachel Ann Dornberger. Albert married Edith Anna Marie Prikker on 3 Jan 1930. Edith was born on 9 Jun 1911. She died on 20 Jul 1965 .   Then Albert married Hazel Dorothy Siddle on 12 Oct 1972. Hazel was born on 1 Jun 1913. Lena Josephine Reuter - was born on 4 Aug 1908. She is the daughter of Frederick Reuter and Rachel Ann Dornberger. Lena married Otto Segler. Children: i.  Clarence Leroy Segler was born on 9 Oct 1926 and died on 8 Aug 1974 . Clarence - married Leoda Maricle Oct 27, 1946. ii.  Lawrence Robert Segler was born on 14 Jan 1929. Lawrence - married Saralou Jean Prince Mar 15, 1923. Saralou was born May16, 1934.

Dorothy Viola Reuter - was born on 12 May 1911 and died on 17 Dec 1986 . She was the daughter of Frederick Reuter and Rachel Ann Dornberger. Dorothy married Albert Gustav Marx on 22 Oct 1930. Albert was born on 27 Mar 1905. Children: i.  Albert Raymond Marx was born on 15 Dec 1948 and died Mar 1985 in Peoria, Ill . Albert married Ruth Ann Baughman. Albert -   I don't know if it is significant to the genealogy, but if possible I would like my long term companion Ruth Ann Baughman added to my name Albert Raymond Marx (16 i) . We have been living together for over seven years and in everyway I consider her my wife. She has been doing quite a bit of research on the family and has a lot of data. We have also taken photos of all the grave stones located around Peoria of the Reuter, Hart, Marx, Dornberger, part off the family. (Sources: - 2)

Frederick Eugene Reuter - was born on 13 Jul 1914 and died Aug 1980 in Pekin, Tazewell, Illinois . He was the son of Frederick Reuter and Rachel Ann Dornberger. Frederick married Dorothy Madeline Cobb on 9 Jul 1939. Dorothy was born on 9 Feb 1917. She died Dec 1973 . (Sources: - 2) (Sources: - 2) Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Fred Eugene Reuter was born on 15 Oct 1944 in New Brunswick, NJ and died on 21 Jul 2005 in LIvingston . Fred - Published July 2005 in the Polk County Enterprise   LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Gene Reuter, 60, were held Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Cochran Funeral Home. Mr. Reuter died Monday, July 18, at his residence in Livingston. He was born Oct. 15, 1944 in New Brunswick, N.J., the son of Fred Eugene Reuter and Dorothy Cobb Reuter, both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, Kevin Reuter of San Antonio; daughters, Kari Reuter of Webster and Kim Kienast of Houston and brother, David Reuter of Orlando, Fla. ii.  David Lee Reuter was born on 28 Jul 1949. David - visited ADH Sr. in 1993. was living in Orlando at the time. Was helping his two sons at a Jet Ski race at Islamarada.   In 1993 he was employed as an "irrigation technician" by the city of Orlando.

Edwin John Kneer - was born on 7 Jul 1894 and died on 15 Dec 1975 . He was the son of John Kneer and Elizabeth Emma Reuter. Edwin married Gettrude Kelch on 14 Apr 1920. Gettrude was born on 11 Sep 1895. Children: i.  Marion C. Kneer ii.  Robert Charles Kneer iii.  Thomas Edwin Kneer iv.  Doris Jane Kneer v.  John Bernard Kneeer

Marie Cecilia Kneer - was born on 1 Jun 1898 in Peoria, Ill and died on 22 Nov 1983 in Peoria, Ill . She was the daughter of John Kneer and Elizabeth Emma Reuter. Marie married Herman Carl Heintzman on 19 May 1925 in Sacred Heart CHurch, Peoria, Ill. Herman was born on 27 Jul 1896 in Metamora, Ill. He died on 22 Apr 1978 in Peoria, Ill . Mary Doris Foerter - was born on 13 Apr 1910. She is the daughter of Adolph Foerter and Nancy Reuter. Mary married Steven Gilbert Garry on 28 Apr 1934. Steven was born on 5 Oct 1908. Children: i.  Sandra Alana Garry was born on 11 Feb 1935. Sandra married George Frederick Ioos on 27 Dec 1952. George was born on 25 Nov 1932. ii.  Jan Hayon Garry was born on 28 Aug 1939. Jan married Cynthia Moul. Cynthia was born on 28 Sep 1940.

Alan Charles Foerter - was born on 8 Nov 1911. He is the son of Adolph Foerter and Nancy Reuter. Alan married Mary Lou Brandenberg on 1 Nov 1949. Mary was born on 11 May 1926. Children: i.  Jennifer Jane Foerter was born on 9 Jan 1956. ii.  Steven Alan Foerter was born on 9 Jan 1956. iii.  Nancy Ruth Foerter was born on 11 Feb 1953.

Sally Marlene Reuter - was born on 13 Mar 1936. She is the daughter of Albert Norwood Reuter and Edith Anna Marie Prikker. Sally married Harold Lee Catterall on 10 Aug 1957. Harold was born on 21 Jan 1934. Children: i.  Julie Sue Catterall was born in 12/16/57. ii.  Lonnie Lee Caterall was born on 6 Mar 1960.

23.	Karen Sue Reuter - was born on 20 Dec 1944. She is the daughter of Albert Norwood Reuter and Edith Anna Marie Prikker. Karen married Robert Bart on 12 Oct 1963. Robert was born on 17 Sep 1941. Children: i.  Steven Allen Bart was born on 11 Mar 1972.

Keith Ervin Reuter - was born on 9 May 1947. He is the son of Albert Norwood Reuter and Edith Anna Marie Prikker. Keith married Connie Cleghorn on 16 Aug 1970. Connie was born on 29 Jun 1954.   Then Keith married Sherri Coe Wagner. Sherri was born on 2 Mar 1946. Children with Connie Cleghorn (Quick Family Chart) i.  Christopher Keith Parrin Reuter was born on 26 Jul 1972.
