Emperor Konrad II of Roman Empire - was born in 0990 in Burgundy, France and died on 4 Jun 1039 in Utrecht, Netherlands . Emperor Konrad married Duchess Gisele of Swabia on 21 Nov 1017. Duchess Gisele was born on 11 Nov 0999, lived in Schwaben, Bavaria. She was the daughter of Duke Hermann II of Swabia and Princess Gerberga de Bourgogne. She died on 14 Feb 1043 . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Emperor Heinrich III "the black" of Roman Empire was born on 28 Oct 1017, lived in Schwaben, Bavaria and died on 5 Oct 1056 . See #2. below.

Emperor Heinrich III "the black" of Roman Empire - was born on 28 Oct 1017, lived in Schwaben, Bavaria and died on 5 Oct 1056 . He was the son of Emperor Konrad II of Roman Empire and Duchess Gisele of Swabia. Emperor Heinrich married Princess Agnaes of Aquitaine on 21 Nov 1043. Princess Agnaes was born about 1020 in Aquitaine. She was the daughter of Duke Guillaume V (III) "The Grand" of Aquitaine and Countess Agnaes de Bourgogne. She died on 14 Dec 1077 . Emperor Heinrich - was crowned joint king with his father in 1028, and acceded on Conrad’s death in 1039. Under Henry III the medieval Holy Roman Empire probably attained its greatest power and solidity. In 1041, Henry defeated the Bohemians, who had been overrunning the lands of his vassals, the Poles, and compelled Duke Bratislaus I of Bohemia to renew his vassalage. Although several expeditions to Hungary against the raiding Magyars failed to establish his authority in that country, Henry was able in 1043 to fix the frontier of Austria and Hungary at the Leitha and Morava rivers, where it remained until the end of World War I. In the West, Henry attempted with some initial success to control particularist tendencies among the duchies. Henry IV of Bavaria - was born on 11 Nov 1050 in Saxony and died on 7 Aug 1106 in Liege, Lorraine, France . He was the son of Emperor Heinrich III "the black" of Roman Empire and Princess Agnaes of Aquitaine. Henry married Bertha of Maurienne. Bertha was born on 21 Sep 1051. She was the daughter of Count Otto (Eudes) of Savoy and Adelaide of Torino. She died on 27 Dec 1087 . Henry - engaged in a long struggle with Hildebrand (Pope Gregory VII) on the question of lay investiture (see Investiture Controversy), eventually drawing excommunication on himself and doing penance at Canossa (1077). His last years were spent countering the rebellion of his sons Conrad and Henry (the future Henry V Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Agnes of Germany was born in 1072/1073 and died on 24 Sep 1143 . Agnes married Duke Frederick I of Swabia in 1080. Duke Frederick was born about 1050. He was the son of Count Frederick of Buren and Hildegard of Swabia. He died on 20 Jan 1105 .
