He was the son of John Heard and Isabel Warwick.
James married Shuah Conley Starbuck in 1661 in Kittery, York, Maine. Shuah was born about 1640 in Kittery, Maine. She was the daughter of Edward Starbuck. She died in 1686 in Dover, Norfork, MBC . Shuah - after James death, she married Richard Otis as his second wife, who then married Grizel Warren after her death. John Heard - was born about 1667 in Sturgeon Creek, York, ME and died before 1751 in Kittery, Maine .
He was the son of James Heard and Shuah Conley Starbuck.
John married Phoebe Littlefield on 27 Apr 1690 in Kittery, Maine. Phoebe was born about 1670 in Wells,ME. She was the daughter of Francis Littlefield and Rebecca Rust. She died on 4 Jul 1697 in Kittery, Maine . Phoebe - On Sunday afternoon, 4 july 1697 the Indians ambushed Maj Frost, his wife and two sons, John Heard and his wife, Phebe and Dennis Downing were returning from Sunday meeting. A mile from the garrison a party of Indians had formed an ambush near a large rock at the side of the road.When the party approached they were fired upon. Maj FROST and DOWNING were killed, and Phebe (Littlefield) Heard was mortally wounded. John tried to put her on a horse, but she begged him to leave her and save the children at home. The rest of the party escaped. The site of this attack is now known as "AMBUSH ROCK". Its located near Eliot, Maine. John - married first Jane Cole about 1698.
