Eli Guffey - was born on 6 Jun 1839 in Penn. and died on 8 Jan 1883 in Ligonier, Ind and was buried in Oak Park . He was the son of Benjamin Guffey. Eli married Margaret Galbreth on 7 Feb 1865 in Noble Co., Ind.. Margaret was born Jun 1839. She died in 1921 and was buried in Oak Park, Ligonier, Ind. . Eli - Died of liver complaint. He was a resident of Noble Co. for 17-18 years. He was a successful farmer, a staunch Democrat, a good citizen, and enjoyed the esteem of his neighbors and fellow citizens in an eminent degree - Ligonier Banner Jan 11, 1883.
