John Gardner - died on 24 Nov 1668 in Hingham, Mass. . John married Mary on 10 Apr 1651 in Boston, Mass.. John - came to Hingham, Mass. about 1650 and had land granted to him in 1656 in the south part of town. The inventory of his Estate was appraised in 1669 by John Tower and John Ripley at 44 pounds, 11 shillings and "included the Goats that have been sold to pay debts and maintain the family"   There appears to be some confusion as to whether this family name is GARNET or GARDNER. Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  John Gardner was chr. on 17 Jul 1652 and died on 16 Dec 1700 . John - married Mary Stowell in 1682/3 - resided at "Liberty Plain" in South Hingham. ii.  Francis Gardner was born on 31 Mar 1653 in Hingham, Mass. and died on 14 Jan 1686/1689 . Francis - married Joanna May in 1680/1. He was a soldier in Capt. Johnson's company at the great Narraganset fight in 1675. Resided at Liberty Plain. iii.  Mary Gardner was born on 19 Nov 1654. Mary - married Nathan Farrow in 1683. iv.  Samuel Gardner was born on 23 Mar 1655/1656 in Hingham, Mass.. v.  Deborah Gardner was born on 5 Jul 1657 in Hingham, Mass. and died in 1728 in Hingham, Mass. . Deborah married Benjamin Tower Sep 1680 in Hingham, Mass.. Benjamin was born on 3 Nov 1654 in Hingham, Mass.. He was the son of John Tower and Margaret Ibrook. He died on 24 Mar 1721/1722 in Hingham, Mass. . See Tower family for children. vi.  James Gardner was born on 4 Feb 1659/1660 in Hingham, Mass. and died on 26 Dec 1726 . James - married Elizabeth Ward in 1685. vii.  Stephen Gardner was born on 14 Aug 1662 in Hingham, Mass.. viii.  Thomas Gardner was born on 5 Jun 1664 in Hingham, Mass.. Thomas - married Judith Tower in 1705. ix.  Benjamin Gardner was born on 7 Apr 1666 in Hingham, Mass.. x.  Christian Gardner was born on 3 Jun 1668 in Hingham, Mass.. Christian - married Joseph Dunbar.
