Jacent Fargo - was born about 1622 in France.
Jacent - sailed from Lyons, France to Sydney, Wales about 1662 with his wife and family. Known then as JACENTZ FARGEAU. Both Angeline Fargo, who married Smith Bibbins, and William George Fargo who founded Wells, Fargo are descended from Jacent through his son Moses Fargo. (Sources: - 1)

Moses Fargo - was born in 1649 in Sidney, Wales and died on 11 Aug 1732 in Montville, New London, Conn. .
He was the son of Jacent Fargo.
Moses married Sarah. Moses - emigrated from Wales to America in 1668 on a vessel called "Armenia" and landed in what is now Norwich, Conn. where they soon came into possession of a tract of land. They were men of energy, thrift and foresight, and in consequence amassed wealth and secured themselves an extensive influence in business and social circles. Moses was granted a house in New London, Conn. in 1680. In 1690, he was in Norwich and in 1694 was granted land "on a hill above the rock where the house stands". In 1722 he appears among the inhabitants of the North Parish of New London in what is now Montville, Conn. 12-18-1679 Town Meeting, New London, Conn Moses Fergoes requests a small parcel of land to build a house ? and shop and a small herbe garden on that ground that lies near the mill bridge over against the upper end of Mr Pyrams lott, which is granted on condition that he build on the same and reside thereon five or six years. Moses was the common ancestor of Angeline Fargo who married Smith Bibbins and William George Fargo who founded Wells Fargo.

Hence he was born in the year 1725. He resided in the Town of Montville, was a farmer by occupation and Deacon of the Rev. Reuben Pulver (or Pulwers) Baptist Church, Montville... He had one brother and one sister."

Nehemiah Fargo - was born on 10 Jan 1764 in Bozrah, Conn. and died on 13 Oct 1828 in Warsaw, Ny and was buried in Warsaw Village Pioneer Cemetery .
He was the son of Robert Fargo Jr and Prudence Stanton.
Nehemiah married Mary Chapman Jun 1783 in Montville, New London, Conn. Mary was born on 25 Dec 1764. She was the daughter of Alpheus Chapman. She died on 12 Dec 1839 in Warsaw, Ny. and was buried in Warsaw Village Pioneer Cemetery . Nehemiah - Lived in Montville, New London Co., Conn. for about ten years after they married. Then sucessively, at Colchester and Hebron, Conn., Sandesfield and Great Barrington, Mass. and Genesco, N.Y. Came to Warsaw, NY in 1804 with his family and settled in the second house in Warsaw. where he resided until his death.
He was a member of the Baptist Church. Nehemiah bough land in 1803 from Jabish Warren - 214 acres lot 28. In 1824, Neh. donated $5.00 towards the purchase of the first Church Bell in Warsaw. It was replaced 35 years later with a larger bell.

He was reared in a farm in Massachusetts and in an early day came West with a party of men, making the journey by water. He passes his first year of residence in Ashtabula county in farm work with his father in law, and the second year he bought 156 acres from Martin Smith, covered with a dense forest. He bought an ox and began to cut an haul cord-wood to pay for the land. Later, with his father in law, he contracted to build a protion of the turnpike road through the Maume swamp. In time his farm became one of the best cultivated pieces of propert y in the county. (Sources: - 3 - 9)

She died on 5 Dec 1867 in Fond du Lac, Wisc. and was buried in Rienzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac, WI . (Sources: - 16) Silas - Silas and Catherine were the first couple married in Warsaw, NY. The marriage was solemnized by Elizur Webster, Esq. the first settler and first justice of the Peace in Warsaw township - then a part of Batavia. Stayed in Warsaw until 1867 when he moved to Fond du Lac, Wisc. Silas and Catherine were connected with the Methodist Church in Warsaw for many years. Silas was an "Overseer of the Poor" in 1837, with David Fargo. He bought land from E. Webster in 1803 - 114 acres in lot 27 Silas was at the first meeting of the Warsaw Pioneer's in 1850 and reported that he and his father were the first to pass on the old Buffalo Road with a wagon.

David - Resided on a farm 1 1/2 miles north of Warsaw. Deacon of the Baptist Church, later united with the Congregational Church. Mr.. FARGO was a farmer at what was then known as the Four Corners, in the town of Warsaw. Allen married Polly Marchant on 30 Oct 1822. Polly was born on 17 Dec 1800. She was the daughter of Joseph Marchant and Polly Cammet. She died on 3 May 1863 . Allen - Allen was appointed a trustee of the Warsaw cemetery in 1847. He was elected to the Warsaw Cemetery Association in March 1850 when it became necessary to enlare the "old burying ground". The trustees bought and laid out the lot of R. R> Munger, on the west side of the road, opposite the ole burying ground on Main street. The new cemetery was dedicated on the 7th of September, 1850.
