Sampson married Mary Beeson. Mary was born on 25 Sep 1820 in Ohio. She died on 20 May 1856 in Peru, Indiana and was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery . Mary - "Her father was Richard Beeson, born April 28, 1788 and her mother was Nancy Cain, born August 12, 1783. She was one of six children. Her Great-great Grandfather, Richard Beeson, was a Quaker Minister and was instrumental in the Quaker movement in Guilford County, NC.during the 1750s. "Mary Beeson Douglass either divorced or Sampson died, for she married William Berry on Jan. 1, 1854 in Peru, Miami , Indiana. She died May 20, 1856 in Peru and is buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana. Her grave is unmarked." (email from Barbara Stinson Oct 2005) Sampson - Mary and Sampson had three children; Rayburn W., born in 1837, Mary, born in 1845, and Matilda. I have nothing on either Mary or Matilda.
