Maud married Earl William d'Albiny about 1174 while living in Arundel, Essex, England. Earl William was born about 1140, lived in Buckenham, Norfolk, England. He was the son of William "Strong Hand" d'Albiny and Queen Adelicia of Louvain. He died on 24 Dec 1193 .

  Then Maud married Earl Roger "The Good" de Clare about 1153 while living in Dalling, Norfolk, England. Earl Roger was born before 1116 in Tunbridge Castle,Kent,England. He was the son of Earl Richard FitzGilbert de Clare and Alice de Mechines. He died in 1173 in Oxon, England .

In the third year of King Henry Ii, he obtained from the king all the lands in Wales which he could win. He marched into Cardigan with a great army and fortified divers castles thereabouts. In the 9th year of the same reign, we find him sumoned by Thomas a Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, to Westminster.
