Walter de Hungerford - was born about 1186. He is the son of Everard de Hungerford. Walter married Countess Hawise de Quincy. Countess Hawise was born about 1178, lived in Winchester,Hampshire,England. She was the daughter of Saire de Quincy and Margaret de Beaumont. She died on 11 Feb 1222 in England . Walter married Maude de Heytesbury about 1259 in Heytesbury,Wiltshire,England. Maude was born about 1235, lived in Heytesbury, ,Wiltshire, England. She is the daughter of John de Heytesbury. Elizabeth was born about 1312 in Heytesbury,Wilts,England. She is the daughter of Adam FitzJohn. Thomas Hungerford - was born about 1330, lived in Farleigh and died on 3 Dec 1397 in Farley Castle, Somerset, England . He was the son of Walter Hungerford and Elizabeth FitzJohn. Thomas married Joan Hussey in 1376. Joan was born about 1349 in Holbroke,Somerset,England. She was the daughter of Edmund Hussey. She died on 21 Mar 1411 in Farley,Hungerford,Somerset,England . Thomas - was speaker of the House of Commons in 1377, a position which he owed to his friend John of Gaunt, and is the first person formally mentioned in the rolls of parliament as holding the office.   In 1369 AD Sir Thomas de Hungerford bought the Farleigh Montfort house from the childless daughter of one of Edward III's soldiers, and the house later came to be known as Farleigh Hungerford Castle. Baron Walter Hungerford - was born on 22 Jun 1378, lived in Farleigh and died on 9 Aug 1449 in Salisbury C-Dral . He was the son of Thomas Hungerford and Joan Hussey. Baron Walter married Ketherine Peverell before 18 Sep 1402. Ketherine was born about 1380, lived in Park,Hamatethy,Penhale,Cornwall,England. She was the daughter of Thomas Peverell and Margaret de Courtenay. She died after 14 Jun 1426 . Baron Walter - served as speaker of the House of Commons, but he is more celebrated as a warrior and diplomatist, serving in the former capacity at Agincourt and in the latter at the council of Constance and the congress of Arras. An executor of Henry V.’s will and a member of the council under Henry VI., Hungerford became a baron in 1426, and he was lord treasurer from 1426 to 1431. Remains of his benefactions still exist at Heytesbury, long the principal residence of the family. Robert Hungerford - was born in 1380 in Somerset, England and died on 18 May 1459 and was buried in Salisbury Cathedral . He was the son of Baron Walter Hungerford and Ketherine Peverell. Robert married Margaret Botreaux about 1408 in Forley, Somerset, England. Margaret was born about 1380. She is the daughter of William Botreaux and Elizabeth Cecilia Beaumont. Robert - was called to parliament as a baron; he was very wealthy, both his mother and his wife being heiresses. Like several other members of the ‘family, Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Lord Robert Hungerford was born in 1404 in Forley, Somerset, England and died on 18 May 1464 in Newcastle, Northumberland, Englanf . Lord Robert Hungerford - was born in 1404 in Forley, Somerset, England and died on 18 May 1464 in Newcastle, Northumberland, Englanf . He was the son of Robert Hungerford and Margaret Botreaux. Lord Robert married Eleanor de Moleyns in 1425 in Somerset, England. Eleanor was born in 1406. She was the daughter of Sir William de Moleyns and Ann Whalesborough. She died in 1476 . Lord Robert - Lord Moleyns and Hungerford. Was called to parliament as Lord de Moleyns in 1445. He is chiefly remembered through his dispute with John Paston over the possession of the Norfolk manor of Gresham. After losing this case he was taken prisoner in France in 1452, not securing his release until 1459. During the Wars of the Roses he fought for Henry VI., with whom he fled to Scotland; then he was attainted, was taken prisoner at the battle of Hexham, and was executed at Newcastle in May 1464. Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Eleanor Hungerford was born about 1426 in Swanborne, Hampshire, England. Eleanor married John White. John was born about 1422 in Swanborne, Hampshire, England. He is the son of Robert White and Alice Lynhorne. Eleanor - After the death of John White, she remarried at least twice: about 1470, to Sir William Tyrrell, Knt., the younger, of Heron in East Thorndon, Essex; and - newly discovered - before 1475, to Sir Henry Fitz Lewis, Knt., of Bromfords in Newendon, Essex and London. See White family for children. ii.  Thomas Hungerford was born about 1425 and died in 1469 . Thomas - was attainted and executed for attempting the restoration of Henry VI.; a younger son, Sir Walter Hungerford (d. 1516), who fought for Henry VII. at Bosworth, received some of the estates forfeited by his ancestors. Sir Thomas, married Ann Percy and left an only daughter Mary Hungerford(d. C. 1534). When the attaiflders of her father and grandfather were reversed in 1485 this lady became Baroness Hungerford and Baroness de Moleyns; she married into the Hastings family and was the mother of George Hastings, 1st earl of Huntingdon.
