Adeliza was born about 1014, lived in Ponteaudemer, Normandy, France. She was the daughter of Waleran Beaumont and Oda de Conteville. She died in 1081 . Robert married Isabel de Vermandois div 1096 in France. Isabel was born about 1085, lived in Valois, France. She was the daughter of Hughes of France and Adelle de Vermandois. She died on 13 Feb 1131 in England .   Then Robert married Isabel de Vermandois. Isabel was born about 1085, lived in Valois, France. She was the daughter of Hughes of France and Adelle de Vermandois. She died on 13 Feb 1131 in England . Earl Robert married Countess of Leicestershire Amice de Gael after Nov 1120 while living in Brittany, France. Countess of Leicestershire Amice was born about 1108, lived in Norfolk, England. She is the daughter of Ralph de Waiet and Emma Fitzosborne.   Then Earl Robert married Amice de Montfort. Amice was born about 1110 in Norfolk, England. She is the daughter of Ralph de Montfort and Avise Emma Fitzosbern. Earl Robert - 2ndEarl of Leicester. Children with Countess of Leicestershire Amice de Gael (Quick Family Chart) i.  Isabel Beaumont was born about 1121, lived in Leicestershire, England and died after May 1188 . Isabel married Simon de Saint Liz about 1137 while living in Leicestershire, England. Simon was born about 1098, lived in Northamptonshire, England. He was the son of Earl Simon de Saint Liz and Countess Matilda of Northumberland. He died Aug 1153 . See A Norman family for children. Roger de Beaumont - was born in 1102 in Warwick, Warwickshire, England and died on 12 Jun 1153 in Warwickshire, England . He was the son of Henry de Beaumont and Margaret de Perche. Roger married Gundred de Warenne before 1130. Gundred was born about 1119, lived in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. She was the daughter of William de Warenne II and Isabel de Vermandois. She died about 1166 in Warwick, England . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Earl Waleran of Warwick was born about 1140, lived in Warwick, Warwickshire, England and died before 13 Oct 1204 . Sir Robert de Beaumont - was born before 1135 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England and died on 31 Aug 1190 in Durazzo, Greece . He was the son of Earl Robert "Bossu" de Beaumont and Amice de Montfort. Sir Robert married Petronilla de Grandmesnil before 1155/1159. Petronilla was born in 1149. She was the daughter of William de Grandmesnil. She died on 1 Apr 1212 and was buried in Leicester, Leicestershire, England . Petronilla -   Pernel's father was called William, as shown by a charter for St-Evroult discovered by David Crouch The Beaumont Twins, p.91, citing the Cartulary of St-Evroult, ii, fo 33v. However, the argument that her grandfather is likely to have been Robert, the eldest son of Hugh de Grandmesnil, still seems sound. To some extent it is supported by the following evidence.   In 1157, Henry II confirmed gifts made to the hospital of Falaise by William de Grentmesnil and others Cal. Docs France, no 1157. By an undated charter (perhaps from 1160 or later), one Beatrix de Rye gave land to the abbey of St Jean of Falaise, for the well-being of her mother Emma and of her brother William de Grentemesnil Lechaude d'Anisy, Extrait des Chartes ... dans les archives du Calvados, vol.1, p.232, no 9 (1834). It seems likely that this Beatrix was a daughter of Robert de Grandmesnil by his second wife, Emma d'Estouteville, particularly as the name Beatrix occurs in the Estouteville family, and was possibly borne by Emma's mother C.T. Clay, ed., Early Yorkshire Charters, vol.9, p.2 (1952). If so, this would confirm that Robert also had a son William, who would probably be Pernel's father.   Note that K.S.B. Keats-Rohan Domesday People I, p.263 (1999) states that Pernel's father William was the son of Robert by Emma d'Estouteville, but no evidence is cited for the relationship. Margaret married Saire de Quincy about 1173. Saire was born in 1155, lived in Winchester, hampshire, England. He was the son of Lord Robert de Quincy and Orabilis de Mar. Earl Waleran of Warwick - was born about 1140, lived in Warwick, Warwickshire, England and died before 13 Oct 1204 . He was the son of Roger de Beaumont and Gundred de Warenne. Earl Waleran married Alice de Harcourt about 1196 in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. Alice was born about 1181, lived in Warwickshire, England. She was the daughter of Robert de Harcourt and Isabel de Camville. She died after Sep 1212 . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Alice de Newburg was born in 1196, lived in Hanslape, Buckinghamshire, England and died before 1263 . Alice married William Mauduit about 1211 while living in Hanslape, Buckinghamshire, England. William was born about 1186, lived in Hanslape, Buckinghamshire, England. He was the son of Robert Mauduit and Isabel Bassett. He died Apr 1257 . See Mauduit family for children.
