Count Stephen "le Sage" Blois - was born in 1045, lived in Blois, France and died on 27 May 1102 in Near Ramee, France . Count Stephen married Princess Adaele of England in 1080 in Breteuil, Eure, France. Princess Adaele was born about 1062, lived in Normandie. She was the daughter of King Guillaume "Le Conquerant" de Normandie and Queen Matilda van Vlaanderen. She died on 8 Mar 1135 in Marsilly, Aquitaine . Count Theobald II Blois - was born about 1090 in Blois, Loir-et-Cher, France and died on 8 Oct 1152 in Ligny . He was the son of Count Stephen "le Sage" Blois and Princess Adaele of England. Count Theobald married Princess Mathilde of Carinthia about 1122. Princess Mathilde was born about 1107, lived in Karnten, Austria. She was the daughter of Duke Engelbert II von Sponheim and Uta von Passau. She died on 13 Dec 1160 in Fontevault, France . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Count Henry I Champagne was born about 1126 and died on 17 Mar 1180/1181 . See #3. below. ii.  Countess Marie of Champagne Blois was born in 1128, lived in Champagne, France and died on 17 Aug 1190 . Countess Marie married Duke Eudes II de Bourgogne in 1145. Duke Eudes was born in 1118, lived in Bourgogne, France. He died on 27 Sep 1162 . iii.  Countess Adaele of Champagne was born about 1140 in Blois, France and died on 4 Jun 1206 in Paris, Isle De France, France . Countess Adaele married King Louis VII of France on 13 Nov 1160. King Louis was born in 1119/1120 in Reims, Champagne, France. He was the son of King Louis VI "Louis the Fat" of France and Countess Alix of Savoie. He died on 18 Sep 1180 in Paris, Isle De France, France . See of France family for children.

Count Henry I Champagne - was born about 1126 and died on 17 Mar 1180/1181 . He was the son of Count Theobald II Blois and Princess Mathilde of Carinthia. Count Henry married Princess Marie of France. Princess Marie was born about 1145 in France. She was the daughter of King Louis VII of France and Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. She died on 11 Mar 1197/1198 . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Theobald III of Navarre was born on 13 Jan 1179 in Troyes and died on 24 May 1201 . See #4. below.

Theobald III of Navarre - was born on 13 Jan 1179 in Troyes and died on 24 May 1201 . He was the son of Count Henry I Champagne and Princess Marie of France. Theobald married Blanche of Navarre on 1 Jul 1199. Blanche was born about 1180. She was the daughter of Sancho VI of Navarre. She died Mar 1229 . Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  King Theobald IV "the Great" of Navarre was born on 3 May 1201 in Troyes and died on 8 Jul 1253 in Pamplona . See #5. below.

King Theobald IV "the Great" of Navarre - was born on 3 May 1201 in Troyes and died on 8 Jul 1253 in Pamplona . He was the son of Theobald III of Navarre and Blanche of Navarre. King Theobald married Marguerite de Bourbon on 12 Sep 1232. Marguerite was born about 1211. She died on 12 Apr 1265 . King Theobald - His father, Thibaut Iii. of Champagne, died before his son's birth, and his mother, Blanche of Navarre, was compelled to resign the guardianship of the young prince to Philip Augustus, king of France, but there is little doubt that the child was acquainted with Chretien de Troyes and the other trouveres who found patronage at the court of Champagne. Thibaut's verses belong to what is called " courteous " poetry, but they have a personal note that distinguishes them from mere exercises. They are addressed to Blanche of Castille, the wife of Louis Viii., and Thibaut's relations with her have been the subject of much controversy. King Henri "le Gros" of Navarre - was born about 1244 in Aube, France and died on 22 Jul 1274 . He was the son of King Theobald IV "the Great" of Navarre and Marguerite de Bourbon. King Henri married Queen Blanche Artois in 1269. Queen Blanche was born about 1250. She was the daughter of Robert I "The Valiant" of Artois and Matilda of Brabant. She died on 2 May 1302 in Paris, France . King Henri - succeeded his eldest brother Theobald III. as king of Navarre and count of Champagne in December 1270. His proclamation at Pamplona, however, did not take place till March of the following year, and his coronatioi~ was delayed until May 1273. After a brief reign, characterized, it is said, by dignity and talent, he died in July 1274, suffocated, according to the generally received accounts, by his own fat. In him the male line of the counts of Champagne and kings of Navarre, became extinct. Children: (Quick Family Chart) i.  Jeanne of Navarre was born Jan 1271/1272 in France and died on 2 Apr 1305 in France . Jeanne married King Philip IV "the Fair" of France on 16 Aug 1284. King Philip was born in 1268 in Fontainebleau, Seine-Et-Marne, France. He was the son of King Philip III "the Bold" of France and Princess Isabel of Aragon. He died on 29 Nov 1314 in Fontainebleau, Seine-Et-Marne, France and was buried in Saint Denis, France . See of France family for children.
