Allura Render Modes
Allura GPU for SketchUp - Powered by NVIDIA Iray® offers two rendering modes - Intractive for fast, but good quality images, and Photoreal for higher quality images which will take longer to fully converge.
Choose from Interactive, Preview and Photoreal modes. Take advantage of the interchangeable nature of Allura's Interactive, Preview and Photoreal render modes through their easily changeable parameters; simply decide on the appropriate level of photorealism for each use and seamlessly switch between modes.
The flexible and interchangeable nature of the Allura Iray render modes means that every mode, Interactive, Preview and Photoreal can be customized using easily changeable parameters.
The interactive mode minimizes render noise through the use of advanced optimization algorithms, that mimic photorealism, and through the use of path space filtering, which removes noise from the final frame. This creates a seamless transition between interactive and other render modes.
Using approximate ambient lighting effects with ray traced materials is the fastest interactive option available; enjoy real-time ray traced navigation and an experience that is far superior to the best OpenGL rendering available.
You can make Interactive mode even faster by turning off Indirect Lighting
Review design changes quickly and easily with the Interactive Preview mode which combines direct lighting and approximated global illumination models to provide a high quality render.
The photoreal mode in Allura Iray brings real world materials and lighting behaviors to all applications. This high-performance mode generates photorealistic imagery, full global illumination, caustics and luminance distribution through progressive refinements for the highest quality final frame output, ideal for final image production.
This exterior scene - with lighting and background from an HDRi sky was rendered in Interactive mode, and then in Photooeal mode.
All three produced good results in a short period of time.
